What is My Purpose in Life?

Today, I woke up with an ungoing question in my head, "What is my purpose in life?". This question somehow popped in my head out of nowhere. Never in a thousand years would I happen to think about it, so What is my purpose in life? Why am I here?; as I tried to answer this question, I got lost, lost in the true meaning of my existence. My head was somehow in a blank state trying to relate or find the truth to my mere presence in this world, but as I contiued to look for an answer I stopped and looked up in the sky. Yes, there it was, I was sent by God into this world by a reason, to make a difference with my existence, to allow others to see the world with a wider perspective than the one they hold within them. My purpose in life, is to guide others to reach true knowledge and to discover new pathways in their lives attaining things they never thought they could reach.

If you think about it, the thought of our existence is somehow fascinating, so many theories of why we were created have come into question throughout the years. They vary from mere scientific basis to religious points of view, although nothing is certain one thing remains clear; we think so we exist, and if we exist there is a spirit which is omnipresent among us, so when you look at the sky, are you really alone?.

  1. That usually happens to me, maybe that is why when I read your post I smiled. While reading your confessions, I concluded that you are here to teach and make a difference. Life has a lot of surprises, no matter how good or bad they are, we should add them to the portrait of experiences and, with hope, continue the path. I looked at the sky and yes we are not alone. We were sent to contribute in this life and change, learn, and teach as much as we can. If we look at those that made a revolution in history, no matter their domain of contribution, we realize that all were just like us, humans; which proves that we all are able to make a change and that we all can. Finally, as the proverb says, “When there is a will there is a way”, so let us be optimistic and believe in the potential power that each and every one of us has.

    1. Well girls, both of you have contributed to the full, big picture of the matter: we are not here for nothing or for mere physiological needs that are to be fulfilled. Then we'd be more like animals.
WE are here for a great puprose; we are here to leave an eternal fingerprint, through faith, passion, enthusiasm, and real understanding of life.
And yes, we are never alone. At least, there are three of us ;)

    2. Hello Hanaa and Iman, thank you for sharing your thoughts!. Yes that is absolutely right, we were born for a reason, to leave a mark on this earth and be remembered by who we are and what we did not just because of the mere fact of being here...

  2. As Iman said, we should always be optimistic rather than see the the world from a pessimistic corner, that held people down and never let them rid of the chains that remain them in the darkness. Moreover, they never give themselves the opportunity to see the enlightenment side of this gorgeous life. For sure God send creatures to this life for different purposes. each one of us have a purpose. Finally, I think that the ultimate purpose of any person is to rid a person of ignorance and enlighten his life by teaching him to become wise .

    1. Hi Hiba, yes having an optimistic view will just open up our view upon the world itself and right there is when we will be enlighted to see that which can not be seen... and understand the true purpose behind our existence.

  3. Interested topic to discuss, as my friends said we have purpose for our life and as God said:

    (افحسبتم انما خلقناكم عبثا)

Man have too much responsibility in this earth, because we are human have too much benefits on other creation, so we have to recognize that our role in this earth is more than animals role: reproduction, seek for food, and preying. Our role is to be beneficial on this earth and protect it, and make as much as possible good work for ourselves, and for others, so for all be careful from the bad behaving that could hurt us in our life and in the second life. Our works are those that we should be think of them because these works that we will asked about in front of our God.

    1. Hello Ola, yes I do believe that the many responsibilities humans have in this life are the main reason why we should really look for an understanding of our mere presence in this world and do our duty as best as possible before reaching the final judgement.

  4. Nice question, everyone of us had asked him/herself at least once. But the problem would be in identifying the real purpose of our existence. I don't mean human existence in general but the individual existence. Of course we all have the same general purpose but deep inside we keep on searching for our unique purpose. Some might die without finding it while others are more lucky in finding it. Therefore, purpose is a long life search.

    1. Hello Zainab, well individual existence is one of the most complicated questions we could ever answer. But it is just amazing how you can look at somebody else and realize that he is unique, and has a different role than you do just for the mere fact that he is someone else.

  5. Because we get to this life, whatever the days that we are passing, whatever the problems that we may pass everyday. Just try to do your best to leave something in this life, so they will remember you after you go.

    1. Hi Maria, we must leave our blueprints something those to come will remember us for and the mere omnipresent will judge us for..
